Every repair we do is backed by the NAPA Over the Road Nationwide Limited Warranty. Here is what that means in plain terms, and what to do if something we fixed fails.
The terms
- Repairs and services performed at Sam’s Truck & Trailer Repair are warranted to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for 12 months from the date of the original repair.
- The warranty is honored nationwide at participating NAPA Truck Care Center locations, not just at our shop. A repair done in Toledo that fails on the road gets handled where the truck is.
- Terms, conditions and exclusions apply. The complete warranty document spells them out. We give you a copy when the work is done; ask the service writer if you did not get one.
Why the warranty comes with the shop
We are a NAPA Truck Care Center. That certification covers how the shop is run and the parts it uses, and the nationwide warranty comes with it. The point is simple: a shop that stands behind its work for a year, anywhere in the country, has every reason to do the job right the first time. We do not want to pay for a repair twice, so we do it once.
What it covers
Materials and workmanship on the repair we did, for 12 months. If a part we installed fails because the part was defective, or because of how it was installed, the correction is covered under the warranty’s terms.
What it does not cover
The full exclusions are in the warranty document, and the document governs. The general shape is what you would expect from a repair warranty: it does not cover wear items that wore out normally, damage from an accident, abuse, neglect or missed maintenance, or a failure caused by something other than the repair we did. If the truck’s symptom after a repair turns out to be a different part, that is a new repair, and we tell you so before we do it.
If something fails
Near Toledo
Call (419) 724-2475 during shop hours, Monday through Friday 8 to 5. Tell us the date of the original repair and what the truck is doing. Bring it in, or if it is down in the Toledo area, we will talk about sending the service truck. We look at it, confirm it is the repair we did, and correct it under the warranty.
Away from Toledo
Call us first if you can; we will help you find the nearest participating NAPA Truck Care Center and tell you what to bring. Have your invoice. The participating shop verifies the original repair and handles the warranty work under the program’s terms.
Keep your paperwork
Your invoice is your warranty record. Keep it in the truck or in the fleet file. It has the repair date, which starts the 12 months, and the parts and labor that are covered. Fleets on our program have every invoice in their account history, so nothing is lost in a cab.
Questions
For the full warranty document, or a question about whether a specific repair is covered, call (419) 724-2475 or use the contact page. We would rather answer it before the truck leaves than argue about it later.
