Findlay, OH and the shop at 820 Matzinger Rd

Findlay to Toledo is 50 minutes. A week on the dealer’s lot is longer.

Findlay fleets live on I-75. The Marathon campus, the distribution centers along US-224 and CR 99, the ag haulers out of Hancock County, all of it rolls north past Bowling Green and through Toledo on its way to Detroit, the Turnpike and Michigan. When a truck on that run starts throwing codes, you have two choices. Fix it in Findlay and wait your turn. Or keep it rolling 50 minutes north to a shop with four techs, a parts shelf and a bay that opens when you call.

We are the second choice. Here is what it costs you in miles and what it saves you in days.

Directions from Findlay to 820 Matzinger Rd

Get on I-75 north at exit 159 (US-224 and SR 15) or exit 157 (SR 12). From the CR 99 side of town, exit 161.

Stay on I-75 north. You pass the Pilot at Van Buren, the Petro and Love’s at North Baltimore, Bowling Green at exit 181, the I-475 split at 192, Perrysburg and the Turnpike interchange at 195, then cross the Maumee River into Toledo. Past downtown, past the I-475 junction at exit 204, past Jeep Parkway and Phillips Ave. Take exit 207, Stickney Ave / Lagrange St. Go north on Stickney Ave about a mile and turn right onto Matzinger Rd. The shop is just east of Stickney, on the same campus as Sam’s Travel Center and Sam’s Parking & Storage.

About 50 miles. About 50 minutes.

What makes the drive worth it

  • Four technicians. ASE certified. Cummins certified. International certified.
  • Certified NAPA Truck Care Center. NAPA parts on the shelf and the NAPA warranty network behind the repair, which matters when the truck is 50 miles from home.
  • Qualified DOT inspector. The 49 CFR 396.17 annual and the repair in the same bay, same visit.
  • Hunter HawkEye XL heavy-duty alignment. Steer tires on a Findlay to Detroit run are expensive to scrub off.
  • CARB Clean Truck Check testing for any unit that runs to California.
  • Diesel engine diagnostics and DPF work, Cummins and International certified.
  • Class 4 through Class 8, trucks and trailers.

Same-day on many repairs, depending on parts. We tell you before we start, and if it is going to run long we tell you before you leave Findlay.

Scheduled fleet service for Hancock County

For a Findlay fleet, the service truck is a planned visit, not a dispatch. Yard PM on a set interval, trailer welding where the trailer sits, DOT prep before an audit. Booked during shop hours, Monday to Friday 8 to 5. One tech, one day, your whole lot.

Fleet accounts also get consolidated billing and FMCSA-ready maintenance records. Call and ask for a fleet conversation.

Broken down on I-75 between Findlay and Toledo

The run from Findlay to Bowling Green is flat, fast and short on shoulders in places. If the truck is failing, get off at the next exit before it quits. Hazards on. Triangles at 10, 100 and 200 feet behind the trailer per 49 CFR 392.22. Stay out of the travel lane.

Then call (419) 724-2475. During shop hours, emergency calls go to the front of the line. From Findlay we will usually point you to a tow and have the bay ready when the truck arrives. From Bowling Green north, the service truck is an option.

Call now

(419) 724-2475. Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Google rating 4.7 from 40 reviews. Independent, not a dealer. Call before you leave Findlay and the bay is open when you get here.

Questions drivers and fleet managers ask

Findlay has truck shops. Why would I drive to Toledo?

Three reasons we hear. The truck is already headed north and the shop is on the way. The Findlay shops are booked out and the truck is losing money every day it waits. Or you need something specific: a Hunter HawkEye XL alignment, a CARB Clean Truck Check, or a DOT inspection and the repair in one visit.

Do you send the service truck to Findlay?

Only for scheduled fleet work, booked in advance during shop hours, Monday to Friday 8 to 5. For a breakdown near Findlay, we will tell you honestly that a closer tow is usually the right call, and we will take the truck when it gets here.

How long is the drive from Findlay?

About 50 miles and about 50 minutes. I-75 north from exit 159 straight through Bowling Green, Perrysburg and downtown Toledo to exit 207 at Stickney Ave, then north on Stickney about a mile to Matzinger Rd.

Can you get a Findlay truck in and out the same day?

Often, depending on parts. Call before you leave Findlay, tell us the symptom and the unit, and we have the bay and the likely parts ready when you pull in. If it is going to be more than a day, we tell you before you make the drive.
